@DollarVigilante Update — the 254-Video Fortress Grew to 440 Videos and 600,480 LBC
Published July 2, 2026 · OdyseeWatchdog Investigative Team
In April we published @DollarVigilante's 254-Video Fortress, documenting Jeff Berwick's Odysee channel at 254 flagged videos and 352,362 LBC. We served an Article 16 notice. We re-ran the scan against the 2026-06-30 dataset to see what the notice changed. The answer: the fortress didn't shrink. It compounded.
440
flagged videos (was 254)
600,480

+70%
larger in ~10 weeks
What Changed in Ten Weeks
Same channel, same operator, fresh scan. The flagged-video count went from 254 to 440 (+186 items). Accumulated stake activity went from 352,362 LBC to 600,480 LBC (+248,118 LBC). Odysee's implied 5% fee on the current stake volume is ~30,024 LBC. The channel that was already one of the largest single-operator concentrations on the platform grew roughly 70% larger in the ten weeks after we, and any regulator reading us, documented it.
The New Top Stake — Confirmed Live
The single largest position on the channel is now "Planet Mind Control: Why You Can't See the Collapse Coming" at 207,000 LBC. Because that is a large enough number to warrant independent confirmation, we queried Odysee's own claim_search API on 2026-07-02 and read the effective_amount back directly: 207,000.0. The other high-value items are the channel's long-running "CoVAIDS" genre:
Current severity spread: 59 Conspiracy Promotion, 5 Hate Speech, 1 Terrorism, 1 Human Trafficking ("Jew Tunnels, Organ and Sex Trafficking All To Make Shekels"), 1 Extremism. The "Rothschild" and "shekels" framings are the same documented antisemitic vocabulary we flagged in April; the channel has simply added to the pile.
Growth-After-Notice Is the Story
A moderation system that works produces a measurable decline after a valid Article 16 notice: items come down, the count falls, the stake volume shrinks. What we measured is the opposite. This is the same conclusion our takedown-tests register reaches channel by channel, expressed here as a single delta on one heavily-documented operator. Under DSA Article 16, our April notice established Odysee's knowledge of the content; the +186-item growth since is what the platform did with that knowledge.
YouTube terminated this channel for repeated medical- misinformation violations. Odysee not only kept it — the channel grew faster on Odysee after exposure than it did before. Jeff Berwick is also named in our industrial-polluters concentration analysis as one of the 20 channels responsible for the bulk of the platform's flagged content.
What Should Happen
The minimum viable response from Odysee is a documented action on the channel with a published Article 17 statement of reasons, and a status update on the April Article 16 notice that our register still shows as unactioned. The minimum viable response from EU regulators is to treat a 70% growth-after-notice as precisely the systemic-risk signal that DSA Article 34 exists to capture: Coimisiún na Meán, ARCOM, and BNetzA each have the statutory authority to act.
Status checks at +30 / +60 / +90 days will land on the takedown-tests register. The full per-item list with URLs refreshes from /data/flagged.json on every deploy.
